In order to install this product you MUST have a DVD-ROM drive.
The DVD may have static on it. You may need to run the disk under warm water and rub it
gently with your fingertips. To dry the disk dab it with a paper towel, be careful not to
rub the disk or it could become scratched. Let the disk sit until completely dry and try to
run the install again.
As stated on the packaging, this product requires a DVD-ROM drive to install. If you do not
have a DVD-ROM drive, you will not be able to see or access the files on the disk.
For reference you can verify the make and model of your current optical drive as below.
1. Right click on MY COMPUTER.
2. Select PROPERTIES.
3. Click on the DEVICE MANAGER tab (For XP, please click on HARDWARE FIRST).
4. Click on the plus sign next to DVD/CD-ROM Drives. The names listed are the make/model of
CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM and DVD-RW drives.
Then check with the drive manufacturer to determine if you do have a DVD-ROM drive.
